            In my book the giver I like this novel it is awesome. The conflict is Jonas has to become the receiver. He has to feel all of these emotions that he has never felt before because they are sheltered. But when he sees his father kill a child he says “He killed it, my father killed it” . He starts to get these feeling that he thinks everybody in the world should feel what he feels. He thinks everything should be equal in feelings. But the council doesn’t want anyone to feel pain and most emotions end in pain. There world isn’t perfect ether they lie to the people and say that getting released is a happy time. But they just go in the chamber to die by lethal injection. He starts to go crazy and talk to himself. The last receiver released herself by injecting herself with the poison that they use to kill the person. I have not finished the book yet so I do not know how it gets resolved.
