The definition of family is some people that love you. In the outsiders the family for the greasers is not there relatives but there gang. That is why there bond is so strong and they take care of each other.
The reason family matters in the outsides is because they don’t have many blood relatives and if they do they don’t care about them. If they get in a fight the family has their back so they don’t die in a rumble. If someone was to die in the family they would have people to bury them and have a funeral.
In all I think that family is very important for moral support and back up in rumbles. If they didn’t have family the wouldn’t go to school and have funds for food and other necessities. That is why I believe that family is very important and you need it.
